Project Engineer/Project Manager

The Project Engineer/Project Manager plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a large-scale energy design project(s) or a number of small projects with many complex features. This position is responsible for monitoring project progress by evaluating contract requirements, including, but not limited to, budgets, schedules, and scope of services to provide desired contract requirements.

This is a collaborative position that interfaces with Sr. Management, Sr. Engineers, Engineers in Training, and support staff. Pro-active problem-solving skills as well as an interest in developing and mentoring team members are necessary. This opportunity has the prospect for advancement for aspiring individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required to be successful. General tasks associated with this position include the following:

  • Supervising the execution of projects as well as developing plans and designs that may include gas and oil pipelines and station construction.
  • Aiding as well as supervising in the development of P&ID’s, site layout design, grading, and erosion control measures selection and placement.
  • Assigning detailed tasks while providing technical oversight and assistance to project team members.
  • Reviewing design drawings for accuracy and ensure quality control (QC) standards have been met.
  • Collaborating with technical staff to ensure the production of drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Determining client requirements and developing specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Engineer in Training Certificate (or the ability to obtain)
  • Professional Engineer Licensed in Ohio (or ability to obtain)
  • Natural Gas Project Management or Design Experience: 5+ years
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D: 3+ years (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Projects or equivalent project scheduling software
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven work environment while assisting/leading the project team
